Pumpkin Halwa / Kaddu Ka Halwa Recipe:
Pumpkin Halwa is very nutritious because pumpkin is full of vitamins and minerals but low in calories. It is good for heart also avoids eye problems,women of child-bearing age and beets appear to promote fertility it is also essential during pregnancy and lactation for hormone synthesis, decreases the risk of obesity.
Pumpkin halwa preparation takes very less time and easy to cook it requires less ingredients,sugar, ghee. The combination of pumpkin seeds into his recipe is also more good for health instead of this we also added dry fruits. It is also called as Kaddu in hindi.
I loved pumpkin alot because i ate rarely at first time i ate this recipe when i was going to my grand mother house there she did for me. After eating this i become a fan of this sweet recipe and i asked her what was the process then she said to me. Later i came back to home try this recipe serve to my husband and he said so nice.so guy’s you are also try this recipe because it is good and nutritious getting good health live long time.
- Pumpkin – 2 cups(grated)
- Sugar – 3/4 cup
- Milk – 1 1/2 cup
- Cardamom – 2 or 3
- Ghee – 4 tbsp
- Dry Fruits you required
Add 2 tbsp of ghee in a heavy bottomed pan add dry fruits and fry it until turns into golden brown colour keep aside.
Add grated Pumpkin, remaining ghee fry for sometime till it turns into pale colour.
Later add milk into the same pan cook till pumpkin absorbs all the milk.
Now add sugar, cardamom powder in the consistency cook till it leaves the sides of the pan.
After add dry fruits into it mix well then serve a very hot Kaddu Ka Halwa or Pumpkin Halwa to your family.
