There are so many most popular rice varieties from those capsicum rice is one of the rice variety. Generally in all other websites prepare this recipe like pulav type rice variety but here i cook this recipe without using any cloves ginger garlic paste etc. Here i am using all types of pulses and make into powder mix it in the rice . This powder gives different taste to this capsicum rice recipe. It is very spicy to taste and very quick process to prepare .

At the first time i heard about this process after my marriage i browse in internet i found this type of recipe and prepare for my husband he ate and told me wow…so yummy….. that’s why i shared this recipe in my website to all of you and also  those who getting bored to eat masala type rice varieties try this capsicum rice and tell me your opinion as a comment.

Ingredients

  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 4 Green chilies
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • Curry leaves
  • 3 or 4 tbsp Oil
  • Required Salt

POWDER FOR MIXING

  • 1 tbsp Peanuts
  • 1 tbsp Urad dhal
  • 1/2 tbsp Moong dhal
  • 1 tbsp Red thoor dhal
  • 1 tbsp Thoor dhal
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 6 Red chillies

Preparation of Making Capsicum Rice

  1. Wash, soak rice for 30 mins and now cook rice with require amount of water. Be careful rice must be non-sticky or grainy in nature, keep it aside. Finely chop onions, capsicum, tomato, green chilies and keep them aside.
  2. Dry roast peanuts, red chilies on a low flame until raw smell occurs now add red thoor dhal, thoor dhal, urad dhal, moong dhal, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, require salt stir it continuously until a nice aroma comes out and keep them aside, let it be cool.
  3. Take all roasted ingredients into a blender and grind it into a coarse powder, keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil on a medium flame in a wide bottomed pan add green chilies, curry leaves , onions, capsicum, tomato stir continuously until it becomes soft and mashy.
  5. Add steamed rice into it mix it well now add require salt again mix it finally add coarse powder what we prepare before. Keep on stirring till powder mix well with rice . Finally switch off the flame.
  6. Serve this hot hot Capsicum rice along with ritha or any other gravy dishes. It tastes so yummy yummy.
