Badam burfi or badam katli is one of best flavorful delicious sweets. Almond burfi is very easy to prepare when compared to kaju katli because there is no need to get sugar syrup 1 or 2 string consistency when the sugar dissolve completely you can add badam paste but be careful at what time switch off the flame otherwise if you switch off to early sweet remain like a dough and also you keep on stir continuously otherwise you lost the taste of sweet. It is very nutritious food mainly for kids because here we are using badam as main ingredient and helpful for growth of them and also they like very much but for adults it increases cholesterol levels if you take regularly otherwise it is good for health .

Here im mentioned clearly at what time there is a chance to do mistakes so rectify those mistakes for taking precaution then you will get badam burfi with good taste and look .

Ingredients for Badam Burfi

  • 1 cup Badam
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 10 or 12 Kumkum puvvu or Saffron
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Ghee

How to Prepare Badam Burfi

  1. Grease ghee to a plate and soak saffron in water or milk keep them aside.
  2. For soaking and peeling badam boil 2 cups of water on a high flame after getting bubbles switch off the flame now add a cup of badam or almonds in it close lid and keep aside for 10 mins. Later transfer almonds into cool water now you can easily peel all almonds. Transfer peeled almonds into a hot water soak it for 1 hr or 1 1/2 hr .
  3. Take a blender add soaked badam, milk grind coarsely and keep it aside. Now take wide bottomed pan add sugar and little bit of water stir it continuously until sugar dissolves add badam paste in it .
  4. Keep on stirring when it leaves the sides of the pan add cardamom powder, saffron water, ghee and stir it continuously till it turns into a big sized dough now switch of the flame. Now transfer to a greased plate spread it entire plate thinly and make pieces whatever shape you want later keep aside for cooling.
  5. After cooling it becomes hard serve this delicious sweet and enjoy long with your family members or friends
